Between the 23rd and 27th of September we held the 1st Sustainability Week in our industrial park, which was attended by all our employees, suppliers and the local community.
In a partnership with Enel through the Ecoenel project, we installed a collection point for household waste from suppliers, employees and the local community, so that it can be recycled and converted into a discount on the energy bill, contributing to the reduction and control of environmental pollution. In addition to being able to use the bonus on their own energy bill, project participants will also be able to allocate it to a social institution, which is located in Enel's concession area.
Sustainability Week featured a lecture by ESG specialist, Luiz Goi, on the topic in question, educational blitzes with quizzes in all sectors of the factory so that we could make known all the concepts that we carry in our DNA.
Sustainable workshops and donation of seedlings produced in our nursery located in Frecheirinha/CE, were the highlight of interaction during the event, in addition to, of course, the participation of three of the various social projects that we support and which held super special presentations, they were:
Tapera das Artes: the Catabum group performed a dynamic musical presentation interacting with employees in our cafeteria and an exhibition of their sustainable musical instruments;
Associação Elos da Vida: we witnessed a super special musical performance with ballet, tango and forró by students with special needs;
Instituto dos Cegos do Ceará: exhibition of paper art produced by elderly people who attend the institution.
We also hosted the Senium fair that sells products made by 50+ entrepreneurs and a visit from women who are family members of our employees for a technical visit to our production, closing this event, which was held by our Sustainability Committee, with a flourish.
